Dear Kirstin,

I heard you started smoking. This news really bothers me. I'm worried and disappointed. I thought you knew better than to start such a bad habit, but I guess I was wrong. Hopefully this letter could change your mind about smoking. Smoking could cause health problems, social problems, and it's a big waste of money.

It could cause serious health issues. You could get serious diseases like heart disease and cancer. My grandmother used to smoke and she got breast cancer. By the time they discovered it, it was too late. The cancer had already pretty much spread to her entire body. She went through a lot of pain and suffering and spent months in the hospital, all because of tobacco. Do you really want that to happen to you? You could get really painfull mouth sores that never go away, even if you do stop smoking. Also, as I said earlier, you could get heart disease, which could lead to stroke and even death.

You could have really bad social issues, and that would be a shame because you're a really awesome person. Smoking tends to give a bad stench that makes nobody want to be around you. Also, it leaves stains on your furniture and clothing. Like I said earlier, my grandmother used to smoke, and when she died and we had to clean the furniture out of her house, all her furniture was soaked with smoke. It was really disguisting. Smoking also harms the people around you. Not only are you inhaling the toxins in cigarettes, but also the people who are standing around you inhale the toxins as well.

Smoking is a huge waste of money. There are better things to buy than little white sticks full of poisons that will only kill you in a matter of years. People are spending thousands of dollars on cigarettes, when they could spend that money on something fun like a vacation. Do you really want to be one of those people? The prices on cigarettes are going up more and more, so you're only wasting more and more money. And you're practically paying to die.

As I said before, I am very disappointed to hear that you started smoking. I am also worried. I wish for you to stop smoking so you can prevent health issues, social issues, and wasting your money. I would really appreciate if you stop smoking.

Sincerely,

Courtney
